The Dallas Cowboys opened their new billion-dollar stadium with a 33-31 loss to the hated New York Giants–failing to cover as 3-point home faves .
That wasn’t the only loss that Dallas sustained as RB Marion Barber suffered a strained quadriceps muscle in the fourth quarter of last night’s game according to reports in football betting.
The injury isn't serious says the Dallas Morning News and Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips is expected to update Barber’s status in his “morning after” press conference.
ESPN has Phillips quoted as saying that Barber had an MRI this morning.
If injury is minor, Barber will have an extra day of rest as the Dallas Cowboys' next game is next Monday against the Carolina Panthers.
Dallas has gone 7-3 straight up in its last 10 matchups against Carolina overall.
A line is forthcoming.
