to go against them. If you are fading a capper and he likes Team A, you take team B. Fading "the public" is a little harder to figure out.

good luck

Young guys call it fade, many old-timers call it "to copper" or "coppering".

MAny many gamblers including professionals make good money fading gamblers that they deem are totally square and have a long, consistent losing record. By fading them, the simply find out who they like, and bet the other side. Most pros use this information to downgrade games that they previously liked a lot. In other words, several pros will lower their bets if they find out that many losing squares also match their side.

Fading means betting the other side of the squares or public..Most guys who fade wait till the last minute to place their plays hoping the line moves in the square direction and bet the best # to be had..

I knew guys years ago who would poll big companies during big events and find out where the employees were wagering and then go the other way..They usually did well on super bowls and NCAA final fours..

Tough to fade events where there are only 2 participants..Boxing, Golf, Tennis etc..

The reason why the house does well is the human element..The player must pick the winner..

The house has history on its side..The only problem with fading is most of the time you are watching a big event you are usually watching with people who are on a different side than you..

Its another way to try and win..I have heard worse ways..
