its not shaq. its Amare acting like he has a personal war with KG going. Plus all the turnovers. Give the fucking ball to your mvp point guard.

Shaq talks a great game. However, those who have really watched him the last few years know that he is finished. Maybe he will prove me wrong, but I highly doubt it.

Shaq is alot of things...He is probably one of the more motivated athletes on the planet...when people say he cant do something he does it...

If PHX does not win it all this year I give shaq one more year in the league and almost gaurentee they win it next year

Such a good guy... I have nothing bad to say about him...he did nothing but rebound in the stat sheets tonight but what he does for PHX is unreal...AMARE is now even more of a beast , Nash receives countless perfect outlets to run the break and he set about 50 screens tonight that wont be in the stat sheet that led to points...

And as for your heat SB they are gonna be just fine and Im sure I dont need to tell you this....They have space to add a big name in the offseason and they will...marion, dwade and a top 5 pick in a greeeeeaaattt class coming out...Miami will go from bottom of the east to contender next year

Totally respect your opinion on the NBA, but have to disagree with almost everything you just said. Shaq is motivated? How do you know this? What has he shown that tells you that? Wasnt he motived this season after getting embarrassed and swept out of the first round last year?

The guy talks the best game of all time. However, he is done. I mean he will get tons of easy points just based on his size. But he is done. He cannot score one on one anymore. He has no lift. When the Heat won the title, it was because of Wade. Not Shaq. The guy is always in foul trouble and when he isnt in foul trouble, he is hurt. He is a liabilty at the end of games because of his foul shooting. You can believe him all you want, but time will tell. He is a 14 point, 8 rebound guy at best right now. If the Suns win it all, it will be because of Amare and Nash. Not Shaq. He may contribute from time to time, but he will not lead them to a title. Those days are long, long gone.

As for my Heat, they do not have space to add a big name in the offseason. Yes, they will get a top pick, but not a top free agent. Only way they can do that is if Marion opts out. And I dont see that happening, as Marion will never get a deal starting at 17 million a season.

Shaqs not there to fill the sheets...hes there to body up duncan, bynum and whomever else he needs to...

I could be wrong about Miami but my gut tells me otherwise...NBA GMs work in funny ways...

respect everything you have to say at all times too SB--respect it even more for not being a homer when it comes to your Heat...Its hard to do as I am a Bulls fan and I am watching them unload there whole team to make teams in the same division better than them??? If ur gonna make trades...do it with teams that wont beat u all year

Shaq is no longer that much of a force defensively either these days. The Heat would routinely take him out late in games to put Alonzo in for defense.

Just to clarify a few things about Shaq. I loved the guy off the court. He is great to be around and does a ton for the community. Do not think he is a bad guy. But his game has really gone downhill quickly. Not his fault. All the great big men start to really decline at this age.

Of course Riley can pull something where he could get additional cap room. It would have to be by unloading Haslem or Blount. But as of right now, they have no cap room if Marion does not opt out.

As for your Bulls, not really sure what they were thinking. Yep, they got rid of Wallace and his horrid contract. But they got back one in Hughes.

Shaq's act is getting tired if you ask me. Just head his interview on ESPN with him saying that this Suns team is the best he has ever been on. He says that every place he is. Guy needs to shut the fuck up and play. His act is getting old.....

my take on the trade is this .... phon has taken a step back. shaq does get rebounds but less than what marion was getting. shaq gets alot less pts than marion and plays less defense than marion.
shaq is fresh right now, wait till another 15-20 games when those legs get heavy.
shaq clogs up the middle where nash normally roams, where nash throws bounce passes off high pick and rolls.
how many times did det double shaq? not many if at all.
how many open looks is phon getting these days? less than when they had marion.
spurs will pick and roll shaq to death as will other teams

marion will not opt out for one reason....no one will pay him 17m next year

One problem I saw with the Suns when watching the Pistons game yesterday:

Because shaq only runs the floor every other play, the Suns end up with alot of 4 on 5's on both ends of the floor.

Ironically, if a team can force a transitional game when shaq is on the floor, the Suns will often be a man down b/c Shaq can't keep up.

On the other hand, Shaq was setting some mammoth screens for Nash also... now if only he could roll to the hoop and elevate...:103631605

Well I think it is fair to call the trade a failure. Suns exit in the first round 4-1. Not sure that is what Kerr and the Suns were looking for. Shaq had his moments, but they were rare. I think they could have used Marion a lot more, especially on the defensive side of the ball. The Spurs pick and rolled the Suns to death, due in large part to Shaq being on the floor. The hack-a-Shaq philosophy by San Antonio didn't exactly help the Suns either. Just a bad trade, one that a lot of people saw coming. Plus, Shaq is on the books for 2 more years at 20 million a year. That is laughable.

You are 100% correct on Shaq, he is old, slow, & can not jump! In his prime he was one of the most dominating bigs ever, but that was 5 yrs ago. What is amazing is that these so called guru scouts don't see it or maybe they do, but regardless how of bad Shaqs skills have diminished he puts people in the seats. It is all about the $$$ otherwise why would any team give him the money Phoenix did. Can not blame Shaq for taking the cash & talking a good game to get it, I blame the owners for giving it to him. Paying Shaq the big cash is really an injustice to the fans more than anything.
