Romo praises McDummy for being one of the best coaches for "in-game adjustments" and then they run the same fucking play 5 times in a row and - surprise! - get stuffed. Mahomes was running easy bootlegs on the same short yardage plays.

Romo jinxes everything on the field and McDummy will never beat Andy Reid.

Bills should have called Belichick.

The Chiefs worked on that Allen surge all week. The Bills should have recognized it wasn't working and made adjustments.

Yes. Running over the same lineman was idiotic. Allen has to recognize this and change it up himself.

Hoping Bills Fire Dermie. He should have been gone after 13seconds imo
I expected that to happen if the Buffs came up short again this year.

Should it happen this would have been the perfect landing spot for Billy B.

With Belli running that Buff Defense the Bills would finally get over the top.

This reminds me of the Steelers with Big Ben vs. New England. They could never beat them and got to the SB when another team knocked them out. The Bills will never get to the SB having to through Arrowhead.

People are overlooking the main reason the Bills lost. It wasn't coaching or officiating or Allen.

It is talent/personnel, they don't have much of it for this level. Especially when their best CB goes out early, even Romo couldn't stop mentioning it because he knew how big and underrated of a blow it was.

Shakir is a nice player, he shouldn't be leading a contending team in targets. Cook is a solid RB, but he isn't a game changer. OL is pretty good but benefits from Allen being who it is blocking for. Defense has some good pieces in Johnson, Milano, Rousseau but no one on the level of a Bosa, Jones, Hutchinson, Donald foundational piece for a contending team.

You know who Allen reminds me of? LeBron on the Cavs from 2008-2010 or Jokic on the Nuggs '20-22, best player on an inferior team.

McDermott had way too good of a season to get canned

He's not a great coach, but who are you gonna replace him with?

Allen is only 29, he could still get over the hump. He's only played 7 years.

Took Elway 15 years to finally win. Took Lucci 18 years.

Hold on a sec...

You could literally rip apart every roster in the NFL as "not good enough", especially after playoff losses which everyone tends to do. Only one team is perfect: the one that lifts the Lombardi Trophy. Every other has warts.

Yes, the Bills don't have the Ravens and Chiefs Pro Bowlers
Yes, Allen doesn't have Chase or Jefferson.
Yes, the refs were a factor as they always are in Chiefs games.
Yes, key injuries made a difference (funny how KC rarely has this problem)

And?

You're talking about the #2 seed in the AFC this year - one of the top seeds consistently year after year. Not a fluke.

So apparently the Bills have all these warts, yet they're missing the target literally by inches. Last year it was a shanked FG and this year another 3 point one-possession nailbiter.

At this level this time of year, it's the little things that win you games. Gearing up your team with the right mindset, preparation, effective tactics... aka coaching. That's the Mahomes secret sauce (and Tom Brady secret sauce) no matter how much anyone wants to pretend otherwise.

McDermott looked tense and nervous all week, like his life would be over if they lost this game. Oh surprise, his QB came out of the gate mirroring that mindset.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs were loose and clowning around at practice...Kelce in shorts and a t-shirt in frigid weather. As Andy Reid says, the Chiefs just keep doing their thing.

No biggie, I've only been saying this for the last 5 years:

Call Belichick.

I said I wasn't impressed with their roster before the Ravens game and then again before this game said pretty much every edge favored KC besides OL. So it isn't MMQB or hindsight with me.

I dunno what future years will bring, but had them power rated as clear 5th of the big 5 because lack of talent for most of the year. Despite thinking Allen is/was playing like the best QB in the league.

The Chiefs don't even have a legit #1 WR (superstar WRs overrated anyway, too expensive and they're usually headcases, like Diva Diggs)

Where do you rank their running game? Their run D isn't elite, though they do have Chris Jones. I don't know how they're stopping Saquon.

McDermott is a good coach. I know many believe he isn't because compared to Andy Reid nobody is. He's perfect for a bottom feeder (like the Bears) who want to take that first step and make the playoffs.

He's just not Andy Reid, who Philly ran out of town because he could never get the Eagles over the hump in the playoffs. :ROFLMAO:

Agree not as strong/explosive as the prime Kelce/Prime Hill teams but still even something like they got Worthy and Bills get Coleman ended up being worth a lot. Kincaid played with a torn PCL but he hasn’t flashed much in 2 years.

Maybe a better coach could develop some of these guys better but when the 2 best offensive plays of the game for the bills involve a journeyman like Mack Hollins, they probably gotta start drafting better. I know it was a close game but chiefs almost scored a TD every possession 1st half if not for an unforced error.

Re run D Chiefs always stop the run when they need to, vs some pretty good RBs too. CMC playoffs last yr most notably (although I can’t believe Shanahan didn’t go for it on 4th and 4 at the end of regulation knowing his D was gonna be gassed…PEDs ain’t lasting 4 hours with SB halftime show)

I actually think Hurts +380 is good value for mvp, that’s an overreaction to the eagles playoff games

Really tough for RBs to win SB mvp in a competitive game, CMC would’ve won last yr but even that a lot has to do with receiving stats and Barkley doesn’t do that much.

The great majority of these games come down to 4th quarter and QB is gonna make some big plays with arm or legs most of the time

That's a great price for Hurts.

You won’t see a dual threat QB be +380 in a game his team is given a 50% chance to win again for awhile
